Week 3

30 May 2014

I got to work outdoors with Otoosan this week. Working with the spade and wheelbarrow initially is quite a chore. It was heavy to begin with and you have to use your body weight to shove and lift the compost. But it was fulfilling to see that all the tulips have their feed.

This time it was clearing the land near Bouken forest. During our break, Otoosan brought us to a secret source of spring water without faucet. Good thing I brought my water bottle for a refill.

I spent my after-work hours surfing the net or playing with my Gopro camera. New project on the way with new subjects - tadpoles. It was easier thought than done...I've  tried video and photography umpteen times but the outcome wasn't satisfactory. Tadpoles love staying close to the edges and it was hard to capture them on the camera. Given the size and depth of the containers, the tadpoles were too close to the lens and resulted in unfocused images. Good thing I had the Gopro packaging - a taller container. Will attempt this again.
